If Restaurant Walls Could Talk 2: 40 Years of Short Stories & Secrets

If Restaurant Walls Could Talk 2:
40 Years of Short Stories & Secrets

The first book opened the kitchen door.
This one walks even farther inside.
After more than four decades in the restaurant business, E. Wright still has stories left to tell—stories about the people, personalities, arguments, laughter, pressure, mistakes, secrets, and unforgettable moments that happen when customers only see the dining room and employees know what is really going on behind the scenes.
If Restaurant Walls Could Talk 2 continues the journey with a brand-new collection of restaurant stories drawn from a lifetime spent working in kitchens, managing people, dealing with customers, surviving impossible shifts, and watching human nature reveal itself one table at a time.

Some stories are funny.
Some are unbelievable.
Some are embarrassing.
Some are touching.
And some will make you wonder how anybody made it through the shift without quitting.

This is not a cookbook.
It is not a restaurant-management manual.
It is the side of the restaurant business most customers never get to see.
Behind every dining room is another world—a world of cooks trying to survive the rush, servers juggling personalities, managers putting out fires, employees falling in love or falling apart, customers behaving badly, friendships being formed, secrets being kept, and stories becoming memories long after the doors are locked for the night.

Once again, E. Wright draws from more than 40 years in the industry to tell the kind of stories that can only come from someone who actually lived them.
If Restaurant Walls Could Talk 2 is about the people behind the uniforms, the madness behind the menu, and the moments that never made it onto the guest check.

The restaurant may close at the end of the night.
But the stories never do.
New stories.
Same kitchen.
More secrets.
